Might want to have some familiarity with the Corel Painter program before starting
|
Mountain Ram is 46 page lesson
that was originally used for a 4 week workshop and cost my students
$40.00. Now, it's been re-issued
as a home based, self-study course with an awesome price of
$26.47. You can still get some
basic help on the ArmChairPaintClasses.com blog if you need it, so
don't feel like you are left hanging. The lesson shows how to open palettes, but only those pertaining to the lesson itself. You'll be painting on layers, and therefore opening a layer palette. You'll be opening a brush palette as well as selecting brushes, making brush charts (for use to import into your Painter Program for your eye dropper selection tool unless you want to choose your own colors at random instead), as well as making brush charts to see how different brushes perform. Some of the lesson deals briefly with composition rules and understanding lighting, also important in painting. Finally, there is the actual application of all of these pieces to make a whole....you make a painting from a photograph. You take the photo of a Mountain Sheep and render it into a realistic painting using the techniques within the lesson plan using an awesome program with so many choices! such as the kind of brushes (pastel, oil, watercolor and so many more!) to the kind of paper you want to use. This lesson just scratches the surface of the kind of fun you can have with this program.
